Salon Policies

Welcome to Big Bang Hairdressing! To ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for all our clients, we have established the following booking policies. Please read through them carefully before scheduling your appointment.

1. Booking Appointments

  • Advance Booking: We recommend booking your appointments in advance to secure your preferred time slot. Walk-ins are welcome but subject to availability.

  • Booking: Appointments can be made through our Contact Us forum, via phone, or in person at the salon.

2. Deposit Policy

  • Deposit Requirement: A deposit is required for all appointments. This deposit secures your booking and will be applied toward the final cost of your service.

    • Standard Services: A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total service cost is required at the time of booking.

    • Premium/Extended Services: For services requiring more than 2 hours (e.g., color treatments, hair extensions), a non-refundable deposit of 50% is required.

  • Deposit Payment: Deposits can be paid via credit/debit card either on phone or by our payment link, or in person at the salon.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Cancellation Policy:

    • Standard Services: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the appointment to avoid losing the deposit.

    • Premium/Extended Services: Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the appointment. If you cancel within this period.

  • Rescheduling Policy: You may reschedule your appointment once without losing your deposit, provided you notify us within the cancellation window (24 or 48 hours depending on the service).

  • Late Cancellations/No-Shows: If you cancel outside of the allowed window or fail to show up for your appointment, the deposit will be forfeited. Rebooking will require a new deposit and may require full outright payment for any future services.

4. Late Arrivals

  • Grace Period: We allow a 10-minute grace period for late arrivals - depending on the service. For gent appointments a 5-minute grace period. After this, your appointment may need to be shortened or rescheduled to avoid inconveniencing other clients, and your deposit may be forfeited.

  • Exceeding Grace Period: If you are more than 10 minutes late, we reserve the right to treat it as a no-show, and your deposit will be forfeited.

5. Refunds

  • Deposit Refunds: Deposits are non-refundable except in cases where the salon needs to cancel your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances.

  • Service Satisfaction: If you are unsatisfied with the service provided, please inform us before leaving the salon so we can address your concerns. Refunds for services rendered are not typically provided, but we will work with you to ensure your satisfaction.

6. Special Requests & Group Bookings

  • Special Requests: If you have specific stylist requests or require special accommodations, please notify us at the time of booking.

  • Group Bookings: A 50% deposit is required for group bookings of 3 or more clients. Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 72 hours in advance.

7. Health & Safety

  • COVID-19 Protocols: Please adhere to our health and safety guidelines, which may include wearing a mask, using hand sanitizer, and maintaining social distancing within the salon.

  • Health Conditions: If you are feeling unwell, please reschedule your appointment.
